Spot
Trading on the on-chain order book
Spot (/v/<network>/spot) is Alcor's on-chain order book. Every order is placed, matched and cancelled by the exchange contract on the selected network. A market has its own link, for example /v/wax/spot/tlm-alien.worlds_wax-eosio.token.
The trading page
- Market selector — the pair name at the top opens a searchable list of markets on the network. Next to it: price, 24h change, volume and market cap.
- Chart — a TradingView chart of the market. See tradingview.com for how to use its tools and indicators.
- Order Book / Trades — open buy (bid) and sell (ask) orders grouped by price with the spread between them, and a feed of recent trades.
- Order form — choose Buy or Sell, then the order type.
- Account tables — Open Orders (cancel them here), Balances and Trade History for the connected account.
Placing an order
- Limit — set the price and amount. The order waits in the order book until it is filled or you cancel it.
- Market — set only the amount; the order fills right away against the best orders in the book.
The percentage slider fills the amount from your available balance.
If the order book price differs from the Alcor Swap pool price by more than 10%, a market order asks for confirmation first and offers to use Swap instead.
Tokens locked in an open order are not available in your balance until the order is filled or cancelled.
